The Association of Information Management Students (AIMS) is a student organization within the iSchool that serves full-time and mid-career students in the Master of Science in Information Management (MSIM) program. Our goal is to improve the academic, career, and social experience for both current students and alumni. In addition to planning a series of student events each year to achieve those goals, we also advocate for and address issues on behalf of the MSIM student body during MSIM Program Committee, iSchool Student Leadership Council, and the Graduate Student Senate meetings.

AIMS depends heavily on the help of current students and alumni to reach our goal of enhancing the
student experience as well as improving the MSIM program. If you are interested in volunteering your time or sharing your knowledge, please reach out and we will find a way for you to get involved.

The election cycle begins in Winter quarter and consists of 3 phases:

  • Nominations
  • Elections
  • Transition

There will be multiple announcements and reminders well ahead of the deadlines via all platforms. In addition, the available officer positions will also be included in detail in these announcements. If you would like to know more about the day-to-day life of an officer, feel free to reach out to the current executive committee members on the contacts tab.

The AIMS elects a group of officers each year. Please feel free to contact any of them, and consider whether you are interested in holding one of these positions next year.
